In the original campy 60's TV show, Batgirl played by Yvonne Craig is kidnapped by a jealous Catwoman and her henchmen and put if dire peril, by leaving her to the mercy of a pattern cutter. She ambushes Batgirl in the dressing room of a fashion show and knocks her out with a spray. we next see her tied hand and foot, after preaching about right and virtue, Catwoman has Batgirl gagged and then placed on the pattern cutter table. Alfred the butler dons a hippy disguise (so he won't be recognized) and saves her.
