Aside from the highly unlikely occurrence of seeing Miss Emma Roberts get the full court press from any baddies, I knew we were in trouble when Hollywood unveiled it's
Stranger in a Strange Land angle for the plot. Nancy is a transfer student from River Heights to the "Real world" with all the inherent dumb-ass social differences humor they love to shovel onto it. Leave the bringing the age old character into the modern era philosophical mumblings aside, they are cheap and artificial.
Nothing wrong with Nancy being in her own world, with a nice modern upgrade, but with the same flavor as the books. And would it hurt if the actress was 18 ? Or at the least her early 20's ? Was Anne Hathaway busy? Or Emmy Rossum?
Think i'll download this one, assuming the sources lower themselves to record it.
