In this brief scene played for laughs, it's the Banks family Christmas trip to their expensive ski lodge. While the adults are out partying it up, the kids let in a shivering stranger, who claims to have a broken down car (despite Will Smith's misgivings). The man turns out to be a burglar, who trusses everyone up in a bunch with Christmas tree lights and gags them with translucent surgical tape.
