In this episode about cursed tattoo needles that grant the user luck, Wendy Lum plays Karen who gets tied up and gagged by the possessor of the needles so he can tattoo a deadly spider-like creature on her thigh, which then comes to life (with tragic results). Later, desperate to win the game of his life, he attacks his own mother Linda Chen (played by Mung-Ling Tsui), ties her down with a table cloth and tattoos a coral snake on her body. Jack and Ryan rush to the rescue!
