In this clip, Hermoine Granger (played by Emma Watson) and her companions make a razor-thin escape from a three headed dog only to fall into a patch of 'Devil's Snare' a huge vine plant that comes to life and wraps them up tightly (if ever so briefly).
* A short cute little scene from the first movie, presented by request. It's strange to think we've watched Emma grow up on screen, but goodness did she grow up !!
I think I'm one of 4 people on the planet who wasn't caught up in the Harry Potter phenomenon, but out of love and friendship I went to see the films and even read a few of the books. I think they're cute stories, if overly long and drawn out. There are better writers out there who could have told the same tale in fewer pages. J.K. Rowling seems determined to foist new , pseudo British sounding, gobledy-gook slang words into every narrative and it gets very very distracting. It's like being beaten with a word-hammer. If parent's want their kids reading fantasy stories and expanding their minds they should have them read Tolkien.*
