The infamous Yin-Yang killer returns, intent on testing Shawn's detective abilities with his twisted poems and games. First a waitress disappears (played by Emma Lahana), and after following the clues, the police discover a photo in Shawn's apartment of the hapless girl wide-eyed, tied to a chair and cleave gagged. They find her later on, still bound and gagged, but unconscious with an note from the killer crammed in her mouth behind her black scarf gag. The killer has kidnapped Shawn's mother (played by Cybill Shepard!). We discover her at a local drive-in, presumably bound in her seat, a laser sight aimed at the back of her head, a flesh-colored tape gag sealing her mouth. The laser sight is a fake, but the bomb in mom's lap hidden in the popcorn bag is very real and the killer has the remote detonator.
*I swear, don't serial killers just break into houses and stab people anymore? Who has the time and energy to set up clever little scenarios like this? I'm busy. You're busy. I'm sure serial killers are VERY busy. Don't even determined, clever serial killers have to eat, sleep and take a shower? Lol, seriously a good episode and a neat couple of scenes in it.
