In this TV movie, Crystal Bernard portrays Julia London, a fledgling mystery writer who makes the fateful decision to take credit for the content of a dairy kept by a serial killer. The killer tracks her down to an awards program honoring her, and while she's in hiding from a crazed fan who invades the proceedings downstairs, he drugs Julia and carries her off. In the basement, after a brief escape attempt, Julia is duct taped to a chair and forced to write a suicide note and to admit to all of the killer's murders with a deadly loaded syringe as motivation...
*A fairly long clip with some onscreen violence, so be warned. there's a few random sound drops here and there as well. I'm not sure why, but the clip plays well. So I guess the CSI team wasn't supposed to notice the adhesive marks on the arm and ankles of this 'suicide victim' afterward? And why is it that detectives always do about 6 months of investigation in the last 10 minutes of these movies? Lol.*
