Scientists are being kidnapped by a time-traveling black knight, and so the girls follow the next victim into the time passage and find themselves in the middle of a battle between the rightful (if somewhat cowardly) king of the land and the aforementioned black knight who is armed to the teeth with high tech weapons. In the first bit, accused of being in league with a band of forest thieves, Sam and Alex are netted and captured by the king's guards, manacled and locked up in the royal dungeons. Elsewhere, Clover has found the black knight's lair, but is caught snooping around by the villain and shackled to high-back throne in a tower. He proposes to make her his queen, a deal that leaves the girl cold to say the least. Later, having escaped briefly, Clover is once more captured and chained to runestone in pink medieval dress for some more gloat time with the villain before Alex and Sam finally rescue her.
