Ella Neal plays Lois Scott, the daughter of an imminent scientist who has created a remote control cell that Dr. Satan wants for his robot army. In this clip, she's nabbed by Dr. Satan's thugs as they are exiting her father's house after stealing a valuable element used in the creation of the device. She is taken to Dr. Satan's lair, where she attempts to phone the Copperhead, but Dr. Satan intercepts the call and challenges the hero to come to an address at precisely midnight or Lois will die.
Bob Wayne (aka the Copperhead, unmasked) breaks into the house where Lois is being held but is captured and shown Lois gagged and tied to a chair with a basket containing poison gas pellets strung up in from of her, and a basin of acid at her feet. To hedge his bets, Dr. Satan rigs the control to the basket mechanism to the door to the room so if the Copperhead opens the door, the basket won't release the pellets, but he will be electrocuted. Bob is escorted away, but a fight breaks out- and shortly before midnight Dr. Satan takes his leave. Lois struggles frantically as the time winds down to her doom as Bob (now as the Copperhead) tries to get back to the room via the fire escape to save her. The pellets plummet into the acid ---!!
