Alexa Davalos plays Princess Andromeda in this high-action remake of the classic 1981 film. In the dark hours of a fateful eclipse, an army of religious fanatics dedicated to Hades in a desperate attempt to forestall their impending doom determines they must offer up the Princess as a sacrifice to the Kraken. She surrenders herself to them and is taken to a huge iron crane overlooking the sea cliffs of Argos, and there bound and hoisted up by her arms to await the arrival of the ultimate monster. Perseus is on the way, astride the winged stallion Pegasus- with the severed head of Medusa, the only thing that can kill the beast, but Hades sends a swarm of harpies to intercept him and steal the head...

*If you haven't seen the film, you might want to avoid watching this clip. I'm not much on remakes, but this movie can stand or fall on its own merits. It is it's own creation and several liberties were taken with the original story. It has a very dark, cynical A.K.A. modern feel to it. *
