Cameron Diaz plays Nathalie in this dark comedy about secrets, lies, bored husbands, jealousy and murder. After George poisons a friend in a fit of jealous rage and buries the parts of the body in the steps of the new gazebo he's building, he becomes convinced Nathalie will rat him out and goes after her. George closes up the beach house shutters with Nathalie bound and gagged inside, but the timely arrival of another friend Lance, prevents him from carting her off for a short deadly trip at sea. As George feigns concern and keeps the man distracted, Nathalie escapes. George and Lance catch up to her, but Lance is now convinced Nat is suicidal and out of control and helps George tie her to a chair with yards and yards of rope. Nathalie escapes again, but it's short-lived as George cuts her off with shotgun in hand. Nathalie soon sits with her hands tied and her feet sealed in a tub of cement. An ill-fated attempt to use a running chainsaw to cut herself loose and George's accidental drinking of methyl alcohol lead to disastrous consequences. George is killed and Nat is dumped in the drink, but the arrival of a local cop looking for a missing rental boat saves the poor girl.
*Love this movie for more than the obvious reasons. It's just a good film, with lots of action plot twists and it's jut plain fun to watch. On the more obvious side, it's Cameron Diaz at the peak of her cuteness all tied up like crazy in this movie. This is a very long clip, over 13 minutes, so be aware.*
