Judy Garland plays Mary Holden in this classic film about two kids trying to raise money so they can participate in a band competition. After a previous endeavor falls through due to a friend's illness, they decide to put on a melodrama at the local theater to raise the money. At the climax of the play, the villain and his henchman give chase to our valiant hero as he dashes to save his girl as she lies tied to the railroad tracks.
