In this episode from the British TV series about a psychiatrist, Francesca Annis plays a babysitter named Mary who after checking to be sure her young charge is asleep, goes to her purse, dons a pair of tight-fitting gloves and takes out two short pieces of rope. She trashes the office of the man of the house (a doctor), takes off the gloves, gets a scarf, tacks a cloth strip to the inside of a closet door which she sets to lock, sits on the steps and ties her ankles together with one of ropes, gags herself with the scarf and ties the other rope into a loop just tight enough for her barely squeeze both hands through. Sitting on the floor she wriggles her hands down under her feet and back up behind her back. Mary hops into the closet and pulls the door shut behind her with the cloth strip. Later, the parents return and discover the chaos and that Mary is gone. The father dutifully calls the police. At a strategic moment, Mary begins crying out and throws herself at the closet door, getting their attention. Mary all but falls back into the doctor's arms and goes into hysterics as she is carried into the office and untied.
