In this classic pirate movie, beautiful Debra Paget plays Molly LaRochelle, who finds herself the victim of a pirate woman's scorn after her husband's liaison with the her. Molly is kidnapped by the pirates and Captain Anne Providence tries to sell Molly in the Arabian slave market, but the timely arrival of Molly's husband's ship, guns firing in the harbor no less, turns the marketeers against her and she's forced to return to her ship. There, poor Molly is tied to the rigging as a human shield to keep the other ship at bay while the pirates rip it to shreds with cannons and Molly's husband is likewise captured. Driven by jealousy, Captain Providence decides to abandon the lovers on a desert island with no food or water, but one of her crew talks her into going back and leaving them a supplied longboat with maps and compass (not shown).
