Celia Imrie plays Homily Clock and Flora Newbigin plays her daughter Arrietty, in this adventure film about a family of tiny people who run afoul of an evil real estate magnate who wants to knock down their home after the human owner dies. But the tiny people have proof of his crooked dealings and so a mad chase begins, ending at a dairy with the man sweeping up the little people into a dustpan and capturing them. The Clocks are strapped down with cellophane tape inside a cheese mold where the man plans to smother them to death with a gout of hot liquid cheese. Fortunately a human boy Arrietty has befriended is on the case...
