Evan Rachel Woods plays Miranda in this touching comedy about a girl's search for her estranged, mentally unstable father which then turns into a quest for Spanish gold hidden under the concrete floor of a CostCo. A friend in on the plot panics during a routine traffic stop and spills the beans to the police. With the cops closing in, Miranda tries desperately to pull her father out of the water-filled trench he's scuba diving through, but he keep yanking the rope back, until with one sharp tug, Miranda's head collides with a metal shelf support and she's knocked out. Charlie carries Miranda upstairs to the break room. Miranda recovers only to discover her dad has tied her to the Coke machine with extension cords and plans to leave her there so the cops won't arrest her as well if he gets caught.
