In this clip from the updated version of Inspector Gadget, media mogul Mr. Bannan retires leaving his empire to his daughter Amanda who is targeted by Dr. Claw's minions (of course) so he can take over the business. The security and personal staff are trussed up with duct tape and gagged, and Amanda is captured via a hijacked elevator, taken to the roof gagged and tied to a satellite dish to receive a deadly bolt of electricity when the dish gets its noon uplink from New York City- unless she signs the business over. As Inspector Gadget bumbles and stumbles looking to replace a briefcase before being captured himself, Penny is on the case via internet connection with the Gadgetinis who manage to short out the electrical just before the fatal broadcast.
