Amanda Seyfried plays Valerie in this re-telling of the classic fairy tale. Valerie is condemned for witchcraft after it is made public she "consorted" with a werewolf (even in the interest of saving her town). She is imprisoned and later made to wear a red harlot's robe, manacled and fitted with a metal wolf mask and escorted through town. She is then shackled to a stone seat in the center of town with soldiers in hiding around her to kill the werewolf when he comes for her. However some locals have conspired to rescue the girl from her fate.
