Superboy stands accused of the murder of a gang leader, and so Lana Lang (played by Stacy Haiduk) does some snooping and discovers the new man in charge is being extorted by another criminal. Tracking the man back to a posh penthouse, Lana witnesses him being duct taped to a chair by Winston's former second in command and then interrogated, and so she hides in a closet and starts recording. Lana drops her tape recorder and noise causes the thug to discover and capture her. Lana is taped to a chair alongside the criminal and after he confesses the truth about the murder, the pair are left with a time bomb for company. Fortunately, Superboy is on-hand to overhear the truth and save the day.
