In this comedy, America's economy is in the tank and facing re-election the President decides to score some popularity points by starting a cold war with Canada, and lunacy ensues. In this first bit, a team of four self-styled commandos invade a power station only to discover that it's operated by a sweet old couple, Pops and Ruthie (played by Beth Amos) who are responsible for half of Canada's power. The couple are tied to their chairs and interrogated to reveal where the switch controlling the Royal Mounted Police's power is located. After causing an nationwide blackout, the clueless commandos leave and Ruthie confides to her husband she could get used to being tied up. Later, another homegrown American soldier awakens in a hospital and ties up and gags two candy stripers (one of which is played by Tara Myers) to steal their uniforms so she can escape.
