Concluding our Get Smart triple treat, Kaos threatens to destroy Washington DC with a sonic boom machine that makes earthquakes unless an exorbitant ransom is paid within 48 hours, making CONTROL desperate to find the device and stop them. Max and Agent 99 (once more, played by Barbra Feldon) track a suspicious vehicle to a car wash where a mysterious button reveals a hidden elevator in the floor which leads to the Kaos hideout. The lead baddie decides to fool the agents into thinking the machine is being moved to South America rather than killing them, but in the meantime 99 and Max sit tied to chairs, awaiting their fate.

*There was a long sequence with 99 and Max blindfolded with bandages, their arms "bound" with full length casts being marched around as the Kaos simulates a car ride and an airplane trip, which ultimately lands them in a shared prison cell but I didn't think there would be any interest.
