In the first bit of this clip, Team Rocket and Meowth are captured by five prankish Pokemon called Squirtles who are after their picnic basket. The trio try to defend themselves, but fall into a hidden pit and are stunned by the impact. Jessie and James are tied side by side to a tree with Meowth hanging close by. Jessie tries to talk the Squirtles into working for them to capture Pikachu and his friends, but the critters dislike humans and won't listen until Meowth convinces them. Later, Misty and her two companions are lassoed by the Squirtles, tied together in a bundle and taken to a cave. The kids are tied to a stalagmite and with Pikachu out of commission after a nasty sting from a horned fish, Ash begs the Squirtles to let him go to fetch medicine to help his favorite Pokemon. They finally agree and so Misty and Brock are left tied up in the cave as hostages so he'll return. Meowth however schemes to take off with the hostages and Pikachu while Ash is away, but his plans are frustrated by the absence of the rest of Team Rocket.
