Glynis Barber plays Sergeant Makepeace in this pilot episode of the series about NYPD detective displaced to Scotland Yard for his own safety. In this clip, the duo are captured by crooks who've been hijacking British missiles for the Russians and being paid off with Beluga caviar. The pair are unloaded from crates, bound and tape gagged inside a building due for demolition. The lead crook gives them 10 minutes on the bomb timer to say their last words to each other and obligingly removes the tape. But a henchman has a change of heart and decides putting a slug in them would be more humane and returns, only to be kicked and pummeled unconscious. Our heroes daringly use the pistol to cut one of their hands free and make it to the rooftop...
