Allison Scagliotti plays Claudia Donovan in this popular Sci-Fi channel series about recovering artifacts with mysterious powers. In this episode, Claudia and her partner have been tracking down a raven quill pen once belonging to Edgar Allen Poe that makes what is written become real. In the final minutes of the episode, they discover that it's in the possession of a disaffected bullied aspiring romantic and poet named Bobby and trace him to a school library. A note with the word "pendulum" etched on it is all it takes to put Claudia and her friend in mortal danger, as a razor sharp pendulum whistles at them from nothing. Straps spring up out of nothing and bind the pair on the floor. Claudia tries to reason with Bobby, to no avail. But elsewhere a literal war of words tips the balance and Bobby drops the poisonous pen. Claudia gets to her feet, suddenly free and puts the pen in a special bag that neutralizes its powers.
