A Woman in Grey *DVD Rip*

In this clip from the 1920's silent movie serial, Arline Pretty plays Ruth Hope who finds herself in the baddies' clutches. She's gagged with a bandana, her arms bound more or less behind her before being dragged to another room and tied down to a cot. The villains argue about what's to be done with her, before it's ultimately decided to the be left to their leader Gordon, when he returns. However Creepy McHag has other plans and when her partner takes a nap, she sets the scene for Ruth's demise, by scooting the cot under a hanging spiked slab ( every home should have one) and setting a lit candle under the rope supporting it....

About A Woman in Grey
This fifteen-part serial circa 1920, the last of the adult serials, filmed in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., this silent serial features plenty of melodrama, edge-of-your-seat thrills, and stunning cliffhangers. Arline Pretty shines as the titular character, a strong-willed dame who gets involved in plenty of near-fatal scrapes as she tries to find a fortune and avoid a clever villain. The producers of the film seemed to have access to the homes of some of the wealthiest people in the community, and the production values are so high it's hard to believe the people responsible for the film were inexperienced locals.
