When we last left our heroine, Ruth Hope (played by Arline Pretty) lay gagged and bound to a cot with a spiked stone hanging precariously over her, held aloft only with a burning rope. But rescue comes in the form of another man whose been sent after her for nefarious purposes, who climbs in through a window and shoves the cot out from under the stone. The rope snaps, the stone plummets, destroying the floor and wakening Gordon's henchman from his nap. A struggle ensues....
