In this collection of scenes, Tess Trueheart is kidnapped by some robbers on the eve of her engagement to Tracy and her parents finally making it out of debt. Tess's father is shot and Dick is knocked unconscious as the girl is gagged, bound and put in the back of the escape car. Later, she's seen tied to a chair in a guarded room before the big boss comes in to tell her his plans for her.
