Dorothy Fay plays Elaine Bellamy in this combined clip from chapters 2, 4, 10 and 11 of The Green Archer serial. In the first bit, during a visit by the local police detective, Elaine tries to summon help with a piercing scream, but she's quickly overpowered hand-gagged and dragged away, with the man none the wiser. Later, Elaine makes another escape attempt, but is likewise overpowered by the evil housekeeper and re-captured. Elaine is seen with her hands tied in front sobbing. Later, off-screen Elaine has managed to get the better of the crooked housekeeper watching over her (played by Mary MacLaren ) leaving the woman gagged and bound on the bed. She unlocks the secret door and dashes for the castle's front door to escape, but it's locked and so she goes for the phone and dials up her sister (??). However the evil woman escapes her bonds and tells her boss that Elaine has gotten away, and the poor heroine is quickly re-captured before she can reveal anything vital. Elaine vows to never quit trying to escape her captors.
