Future TV sitcom icon Mary Tyler Moore plays Kathy Murlow, who in this episode is taken hostage by some bank robbers after they discover that their new 'inside man' is a detective. They cleave gag and tie her in a chair, and leave her under guard with a woman who will also keep an eye on the bank to see to it that the job is done in 10 minutes- or Kathy will be killed. But our hero isn't beaten yet.
