Mia Koning plays Christina Robinson in the TV series loosely based on the classic book. In this extended clip, Christina is kidnapped by two pirates who claim to be after a treasure the Robinson's allegedly possess, but in reality it's all a ploy to get to Mr. Robinson whom the lead baddie Mr. Parsons holds responsible for his brother's death. Christina is kept tied up in the pirates cave and briefly untied to help the men make a fire. She attempts to escape but is quickly recaptured after the family dog turns up on the beach exhausted from his long swim, carrying a message for the kidnappers. Back at the cave, she's re-tied and cleave-gagged with a thick white cloth. The pirates bring her along to a rendezvous point on the beach where Mr. Robinson agrees to surrender himself in exchange for Christina, but the clever Robinsons have one more trick up their sleeves and Mr. Parsons gets his deserved comeuppance.
