In an act of petty revenge for ending World War II, Ares the God of War seeks to alters the course of Wonder Woman's life by sending the Duke of Deception back in time and arranging so she's accused of high treason. The Army is sent to arrest her, and after a fierce battle, the Amazon is overwhelmed, knocked out and captured. in chains, she's confronted with her charges of high treason, but before her trial can commence, a Nazi supervillain called The Speedster attacks the courtroom, and the jury turns in her favor.
