In this episode from the new BBC series which brings the Gentleman Detective into modern times, a banker and a reporter are shot dead in identical killings, which eventually uncovers the work of a Chinese Tong looking to recover China's lost art treasures. Toward the end of the episode Sarah (played by Zoe Telford ) and Watson are kidnapped by the gang because they believe Watson to be Holmes and he has figured out a series of cyphers which will lead to a jade pin belonging to China's long lost empress. the captives are tied to chairs, but only Sarah is gagged with a thin cleave gag. Of course the man knows nothing, since he isn't Holmes, but the gang leader is unconvinced and so Sarah is placed in front of huge ornate crossbow which is set up so when a weight counterbalanced by a sandbag drops it will hit the trigger. Holmes of course arrives to save the day.
