The cover of issue #196 from the 70's run of the character shows Diana in manacles with her white costume stripped from her back and a bulls eye target painted on it as a shadowy assassin readies to take a shot. However in a section called
Wonder Woman Then and Now, the Amazon and the Holliday girls run afoul of Cheetah and her gang who have been using a storm machine to sink passing ships. Wonder Woman is forced to surrender and be bound by her old nemesis who threatens the lives of the Holliday Girls who are bound and chained to the railing of a old lighthouse. The Amazon and Steve Trevor join the captives, which proves to be Cheetah's undoing, even as she readies the storm machine to blast them all with lightning bolts.
