Geneviève Bujold plays Elizabeth Courtland and Wanda Blackman plays her daughter Amy in this taut classic thriller. In this clip, a romantic evening is interrupted by Amy's cries for her mother and when she goes to answer them, she finds her daughter helpless, at gunpoint, hand-gagged by one of a pair of kidnappers. Her husband comes to look in on them and discovers a ransom note taped to his daughter's bedpost. At the hideout, Amy is forced to cry out into a tape recording pleading for the ransom, as her mother sits beside her gagged and likewise bound. Events turn tragic quickly when the faithful husband follows the advice of the police and gives the kidnappers bundles of paper with a tracking device inside the case instead of the ransom...
