Katharine McPhee plays Masha Nikitin in this so-so made for TV comedy adventure film in which a somewhat nebbish pet photographer gets more than he bargained for when he marries a free-spirited Croatian woman with family ties to the Russian mob. During their tropical honeymoon, Masha is chloroformed, hauled away and kidnapped. She wakes up blindfolded and tied in the back on SUV headed deep into the jungle with her two captors. she's put in a small shed, made to sit in a chair and her ankles are tied with heavy fishing line (??). After an aborted escape attempt, a rope is added to her restraints. Later, she engineers her own escape from her bonds and after brewing up a batch of fast-hardening resin, she gets the better of her kidnappers and flees. Later on, Tonya (played by Mena Suvari) gets snatched and hand-gagged and questioned by Masha's crooked former bodyguard who was in league with the kidnappers. Once she gets away from him, she knocks herself out with a discarded boat oar and collapses in a rubber raft.
