Not to be confused with the long-running medical soap opera; in this episode from the 1980's sitcom set in a Chicago emergency ward, two punks looking for drugs and money rob the ward and tie up the entire medical staff (mostly nurses) as well as the two patients with bandages, IV tubing and whatever else they can get their hands on. Among the captives are: Dr. Eve Sheridan (played by Mary McDonnell), Nurse Joan Thor (played Conchatta Ferrell), Nurse Julie Williams (played by Lynne Moody), Receptionist Maria Amardo (played by Shuko Akune), and Nurse Cory Smith (played by Corinne Bohrer). A cop that the receptionist is dating swings by to pick her up for lunch and saves the day.
