In Mexico, after escaping from jail, Lois lane (played by Noel Neill) and her companions are captured by some bank robbers ( the same crooks they were taking the blame for, coincidentally.) The group is tied up in a wooded area next to a natural gas line as the crooks open up the valve and ignite the escaping gas, with the plan to open up the main valve, triggering a massive explosion destroying them and any evidence as well. Superman saves the day.
