Soap opera veteran Hunter Tylo plays Amelia Lockhart in this dimwitted horror film about a mad scientist who strives to save his son from cancer with shark DNA but instead transforms him into a bloodthirsty shark-man. Toward the end of the film, Amelia and a few other survivors are captured after their helicopter explodes on the landing pad. Amelia wakes up strapped to a gurney, and the madman explains his intentions for them and gives her an injection, which knocks her out. After some random tests and more injections, she's strapped and manacled into a plastic tube in order to lower her over shark-man's tank so he will mate with her. shark-man goes berserk of course, as monsters tend to do just before our rather pudgy hero enters the fray with a backpack full of toxin to kill the thing, and the day is saved.
