Maude Adams plays the improbably named Octopussy in this Roger Moore outing about James Bond's search for a ring of international jewel thieves masquerading as part of a travelling circus. Toward the end of the film, she and her sexy band of lady acrobats stage a raid against her former henchman after a narrow escape from a bomb. After some tense exchange, she's cornered, overpowered and taken hostage with Bond in hot pursuit. A horseback chase leads to a private airfield and she's put on the waiting plane and buckled into her seat. Bond chases down the plane and after some derring-do outside the still moving plane, he saves the day and baddies die terribly.
