Sondra Locke plays reluctant witness Gus Mally in this classic action adventure about a hard but mediocre cop who has to escort her across state-lines to testify at a mob trial. Gus won't cooperate fearing for her life and so she's brought out strapped to a gurney, stuff-gagged with a handkerchief and loaded into an ambulance. Later, our hero removes the gag, but her sheer bitchiness makes him slap a oxygen mask on her face and turn up the gas. Afterward, he has her handcuffed to the roll cage inside a sheriff's vehicle when he's forced to take the officer at gunpoint.
