Myrna Fahey plays barmaid Maria Crespo who finds herself set upon by a carriage driver and his companion after she becomes a witness in a scheme to blame Zorro for the assassination of a new Commandant. They overpower and gag her with green scarf before stuffing her thrashing and struggling into the carriage. Zorro chases the fleeing villains cross-country, with Maria being tossed about inside the carriage all the while. Our hero mounts the carriage roof, unties Maria just before the whole thing crashes.
