Sarah Jessica Parker lends her voice to Kira Supernova in this cute family film about a dashing alien astronaut who goes to answer an SOS coming from a dangerous planet called Earth. in this bit Kira and her son discover that bad girl Lena has not only purposefully marooned our heroes on Earth but has also been secretly smuggling a powerful energy source to Earth. The pair are found by the baddies, the kid slips away, but the crooks decide to take Kira along for insurance. Kira is later seen fixed into a chair with force fields for some essential taunting, but the kid returns to make an abortive attempt to save his mom and is likewise locked up with her. But it's a ruse for him to smuggle in some blast tape to free his mom and flatten the guards.
