Diana Rigg returns as Mrs. Peel in this episode in which a shadowy group of foreign agents come up with a duplicate John Steed with the intention of sending him into a conference to steal some plans, but first he must kill the real John Steed. Mrs. Peel is taken hostage by the group, and left tied up on the floor for an extended period until in a moment of bravado, the fake Steed tosses a brandy glass into a close-by fireplace, leaving her with some choice glass shards with which to cut her bindings.
