In this clip from an episode of a short-lived supernatural series about a cop risen from the dead by the devil to recapture 113 souls who had escaped Hell, Rosalind Chao plays teacher Nina Chou, who finds herself bound, gagged and staked out on the floor with red silk material by the resurrected soul of a poet who murdered the princess who spurned him, and has returned to Earth to complete his epic poem about the woman, written in the blood of virgins. Nina's captor tells her his story as he toys with a sharpened bamboo tube he uses to extract the blood, as she whimpers on the floor. Our hero cop arrives and upon hearing him, Nina struggles and overturns a porcelain jar of blood. He sees the dripping blood and ascend to the attic which was once a sweat shop. He finds Nina still gagged and packaged in red translucent silk on the floor, moments before he's attacked wrapped and overcome by animated strands of the same material. He and the demonic soul struggle on the floor. Meanwhile Nina frees herself from her bonds off-screen just as our hero impales the demon though both eyes, sending the soul back to Hell.
*So disappointed this series was cut so short, it's an interesting premise.*
