In this extended clip from the drama / comedy set at a law firm, Candice Bergen plays hard-bitten, hard-drinking lawyer Shirley Schmidt who finds herself kidnapped from her own office by an effeminate oddball named Lincoln, whom she recently defended as a possible murder suspect. In a room in the basement of his house, she sits tied up in a chair with dict tape on her mouth. In the following episode, he plays a Christmas song on a ukulele before removing her tape gag. Shirley is confused why this harmless man seems so determined to prove himself to be a violent killer. A TV report from a brassy news personality he assaulted with a shovel puts him in a less than genial mood. Lincoln shows her the crossbow he has wired to the door, so if anyone breaks down the door, it will fire. Lincoln tries to feed her and she headbutts him in the nose. Shirley tries to get him to talk about the death of a women he was in love with and he clams up. The cops finally turn up, SWAT storms the house, and the fateful door is broken down, but lincoln take the crossbow bolt in the stomach.
