In this pilot episode of the science fiction adventure series starring marionettes, Dr. Venus (voiced by Sylvia Anderson) is struck from her rocket cycle by a blinding flash and knocked unconscious by the fall by some nasty subterranean aliens on planet 46. Our hero Steve Zodiac is then compelled to order his main spacecraft to land on the planet's ashen surface, so it will become stuck and no longer able to interfere with the aliens plan to destroy the earth with an atomic rocket. Venus is shown bound and gagged aboard the rocket as an incentive. the aliens double-cross him and Venus isn't freed. During the launch, the rocket develops problems Steve uses the distraction to snatch a spare ray gun from a hidden compartment and stuns all the aliens. He kidnaps the leader and uses him to force the alien holding Venus to set her free.
