From TechnologyTell.com :
The Fall Guy was one of those TV crime shows from the early- mid-1980s that I knew about but was a little too young to have ever watched. The Fall Guy, The Equalizer, Crime Story, Jake and the Fatman, Hunter, Remington Steele, Sledgehammer, Simon and Simon- there were a lot of them.
Adult Swim’s Greatest Event in Television History franchise has been slowly making its way through remaking the opening credits of a lot of the above, while an Equalizer movie has been in the works for quite awhile. But when it comes to full-on Hollywood remakes, it’s The Fall Guy‘s turn next, it appears.
The Lee Majors-starring ABC series about a Hollywood stuntman/bounty hunter, which ran from 1981 to 1986, will get a big screen update that may star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, with McG directing, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which reported the project out of the Toronto International Film Festival. WWE Films will play a production role in the film as well.
The original series starred Majors as stuntman Colt Seavers who, according to the show’s Wikipedia page, “uses his physical skills and knowledge of stunt effects (especially stunts involving cars or his large GMC pickup truck) to capture fugitives and criminals.”
Now, can we get going on that Six Million Dollar Man reboot?
