In this sequel film about a group of 'retired' spies who keep getting called back to action, an attempt to release a mad weapons designer from a psychiatric hospital begins when Victoria (Helen Mirren) is brought into the ward in a straitjacket raving she's the queen. Left alone with two attendants she kicks one unconscious, frees herself and stabs the other with his own injection. With the help of our hero Frank, they capture the desk nurse (Penny Bunton) at gunpoint and she's left bound and gagged with duct tape alongside some other staffers. After fetching the good madman, Victoria allows herself to be captured by soldiers so they have time to escape. In handcuffs under interrogation, she's shown some alarming information in a file but frees herself with a key hidden inside a flesh colored patch when a creepy younger agent is sent in with a garrote to kill her. She promptly beats the young man senseless.
In Russia, Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker) and two of our heroes are in manacles, chained with arms overhead about to be executed by firing squad after a rogue agent sets them up for a Russian officer's murder. But shots ring out overhead and Victoria calmly snipes the soldiers from a hilltop, freeing Frank...
