Set in the time of the Auto De Fe of the Spanish Inquisition, gorgeous Rona De Ricci plays Maria who is brought under arrest accused of witchcraft. After being made to witness the near drowning death of another prisoner, she's dragged to the torture rack shackled down, stretched and interrogated. While under torture, she has a vision of herself in a sort of witch's paradise with an elderly woman. She's brought down to earth once again, in pain but is "rescued" by Torquemada who wants to take her confession personally.
