Jeanette Owens (Diana Scarwid) is being held prisoner by a troupe of escaped convicts just as her cop daughter Ann Owens (Alexandra Lydon ) stops in for a visit. Jeanette is gagged by the man holding her by way of his forearm as the daughter enters the house. Spying some broken glass, Ann goes to investigate and finds her mother being held. some terse negotiations are made before Ann is overpowered and disarmed. the women are tied up in chairs with extension cords and gagged. Ann cleave style with a kitchen towel and Jeanette with a washcloth taped over her mouth with white medical tape. Ann is un-gagged later by another prisoner so she can have some medicine for her unborn daughter. She tries to talk down to convict guarding them so he'll give himself up, but with limited results as he has his own agenda.
